Packages for Bangkok: Tiptoe into a mesmerizing world of temples & malls

A beautiful beach-side city in the province of Chonburi, Pattaya is the most exotic holiday destination in Thailand. This vibrant town is wedged on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand: about 165 km from Bangkok – the capital of Thailand. The City of Pattaya is situated in the Eastern Seaboard with population exceeding 100,000. It’s a self governing municipal area covering the whole Tambon Nong Prue and Na Kluea along with some parts of Huai Yai and Nong Pla Lai. Economy of the city is highly dominated by tourism, trading and of course the sex industry.

History of Pattaya is quite interesting. The name Pattaya acquired from the marching of Phraya Tak, the only king of Thonburi Kingdom and his army from Ayutthaya to Chanburi. When the army arrived in the territory, which is now called Pattaya, Nai Klom with his troops tried to intercept. But when he saw the splendid management and strict discipline of Phraya Tak’s army, he got impressed and surrendered without any fight. The place where the two armies confronted was given the name as Thap Phraya, which later became ‘Phatthaya’. Today that place is internationally known as Pattaya, which is one of the most renowned tourist destinations in Thailand.

The Pattaya Bay Area, one of the largest beach resorts in Asia, has long been a favorite hunt for fun-loving backpackers from far and wide. Beaches in Pattaya are lined up with many restaurants, shopping areas and night attractions, and hence are the ideal place to visit on. Apart from that, travel in Pattaya makes the travelers explore a number of historical landmarks including Wat Khao Phra and the Sanctuary of Truth. Some other attractions for tourists in Pattaya include Pattaya Crocodile Farm, Pattaya Park, the Million Years Stone Park, Funny Land Amusement Park, Underwater World Pattaya (world-class aquarium), the Thai Alangkarn Theater Pattaya (cultural show), and Bottle Art Museum. To perfectly plan a travel in Pattaya, one is suggested to buy tour package to Bangkok, which usually includes a hassle free tour to Bangkok and travel in Pattaya.
